Professor Watermelon came to visit our school today.  He is a professional writer who loves to help children write!
We were lucky enough to receive a personalized visit into our room.
He taught us about his book "Herbert" and "Lily and Pete".  (remember, Come on over and too deep!)
We were given some items to select as a muse.  Then we wrote.  We thought about "What if..."
He was fantastic!  Sign up for his next writing after school enrichment class.  This one is full already!

Get ready!  It will be great!
Uniform with a winter coat expected.  We will have to walk a short distance outside.
Leave the school by 9:15 and return around 11:30, just in time for our lunchtime!

Don't be tardy!

If you are tardy to AM assembly starting Wednesday, you will be counted as tardy.
Plan ahead.  Be proactive.  Be on time!
You are expected to be there by 7:55am no later.

#16, #17 & #18 is extra credit.  It is a win-win.  Try to solve these problems.  You have nothing to lose.  If you get it wrong, it will not count against you.  If you are correct you will receive extra credit!
Think about it!  Try #18 out on your own with supplies at home.... make a mini lab on your own.  Use a book and try to lift it with a popsicle stick then a ruler.  which is easier?  Pencil and a ruler?

Update on E60 + E61.... if you received an incorrect mark on #7 and #8 and you had them reversed, please bring it back into me for a re-grade.  These answers are interchangeable.
This is true for #9 and #10.  You might receive 4 extra points. 
Please bring it back in for a re-grade if you have #7 - #10 marked as incorrect.
