"Peri" (french accent) the ant,

walks the perimeter.
Remember we don't want ants inside the house!

to make rectangles...

This is a 4 x 4 rectangle.

If "Peri" the ant,

walks the perimeter, Peri will pass 16 sides (edges).

The Perimeter is 16.

The "Area" inside.... where we don't want ants is also 16 in this 4x4 shape.

This is a 2x2 rectangle 

If Peri the ant walks the perimeter, Peri will pass 8 sides (edges).

The Perimeter is 8.

The Area inside... where we don't want ants is 4.

We had such fun and learned a lot!

Please remember to bring recorders to school on Friday.

We will have an extra Music class with Mr. Lo's class in attendance also.

was a famous park designer.

We learned about him in Social Studies.

I challenged the students to design a park.

Wow!  I never expected to receive such wonderful 

creations!  These are amazing!

Pioneer Presentations and Thanksgiving Feast

This Thanksgiving I am very thankful for all my students 

and their wonderful parents.

This day would not be as successful  

as it was without their help!

It was truely a Terrific Tuesday.

We presented our research, danced, played games, prayed and ate some wonderful food.

We are all blessed to be togehter and have one another.

I am so proud of all 3rd graders.

Your hard work was showing today!

What a fantastic Wax museum!
